Witness for Fitness

An Update

I know it's been awhile since I've updated the blog, sorry about that. Just so you know I have been a woman of my word and I've been keeping consistent with my workout routine. It is going great! I feel so much better!

Since I made the decision to walk as my form of exercise I decided to invest in some new shoes (I'll use ANY excuse to shop for shoes, LOL), and a walking belt. I went with the Danskin Walking belt because you can adjust the weight of the belt to fit your level of intensity. Now I know that there are going to be some naysayers thinking that the belt probably doesn't really make a difference because it only weighs up to five pounds.

Let.Me.Tell.You. I almost DIED, lol! Of course, I started out with all five pounds in the belt because I thought I could handle it. Mmm, my legs were BURNING before I made it off my street! It was an AMAZING workout. I'm not sure how it works (logistically speaking), but it works.

If you're a "walker" I highly recommend you try this belt out. It's easy to use and you'll burn double calories by using it!

Witness for Fitness

Jeans Should be Skinny, Wallets Should be Fat

So, Spring is here and that means Summer is right around the corner. I have to say that I have always been blessed with a natural bikini ready body, but now that I'm a little older I have noticed MUCH room for improvement. I don't want to lose weight or anything like that, but I do want to "get back to my fighting weight", as I like to put it. I'd like to be a little more tone and tight.

It's so funny how your body changes on you as you age. I use to be so fit, so in shape. Well, all that muscle has turned to mush. While my husband absolutely LOVES my body, I'm not too happy with every part of it. I'd like to think that I take good care of myself. I eat well and I ALWAYS get AT LEAST 7 hours of sleep. Now that I'm older I 've made it a habit to eat fruit for breakfast and I drink a good bit of water daily.

My Witness for Fitness routine will consist of cardio (walking or some outdoors activity), an ab workout (I like sit ups and crunches - the basics) and because I don't do cold weather or rain, my Wii Fit will def be in my rotation somewhere.

I hope everyone has a Witness for Fitness routine of their own. Just like the Bally's commercial says "Jeans should be skinny, and wallets should be fat!" , and I am a FIRM believer of that statement!
